EVENTS NEXT WEEK: TIM JACKSON LECTURE AND BRIGHTON DEBATE Posted: 10 May 2012 07:15 AM PDT Next week is the start of our first ever Summer School on Pathways to Sustainability in Brighton. Although most of the session are only open to the 42 invited participants, we're also holding a couple of events which are open to the public: Tim Jackson: Where is the green economy? Prosperity, work and sustainability 'after the crisis' A public lecture by the author of the book Prosperity Without Growth and Professor of Sustainable Development at the University of Surrey. Fulton Lecture Theatre A, University of Sussex, Falmer. Monday 14 May at 5pm, followed by a drinks reception. Brighton Fringe debate: Who's going to save the planet? A "Question Time"-style debate as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival with Caroline Lucas MP (Green Party), Thurstan Crockett (Brighton & Hove City Council), Solitaire Townsend (Futerra), Nick Robins (HSBC) and chaired by Tom Clarke (Channel 4). You can submit a question on the event's Facebook page. Jubilee Library, Brighton. Thursday 17 May at 7pm. Both events are free and anyone is welcome to attend - you don't have to register in advance.
